Preparing Your Computer Settings

Students can access the CE6 platform through a web browser such as Mozilla, Safari or Internet Explorer. Most of the CE6 software you will use resides on a CE6 server (a central host computer). However, you will also use other applications that reside on your own computer, such as word processing or presentation programs.

Internet Requirements:

• Firefox/Mozilla version 3.0 or higher
• Internet Explorer (IE) version 7.0 or higher
• Apple Safari

IMPORTANT!! - Users of Internet Explorer 8

Multiple Internet Browsers are recommended!

If you are encountering issues with CE6 while working within a course, the best action to take first is trying a different Internet Browser. Windows based PCs come with Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari are two options for additional browsers. OS X based Macintosh Computer come installed with Safari for the default browser. Mozilla Forefox has a Mac version of their browser for an alternative.
