Proctored examinations at Edison State College are examinations that are given in our Testing Centers, and overseen by ESC proctors who monitor and supervise students while they complete the examination.
If you live outside the Edison State College area and are unable to come to ESC for tests required for your online course, you must identify a proctor, that is, someone authorized to conduct the test for you.
The proctor must be:
A testing center administrator or staff member at a university, college, community college
OR
A professional test administrator at a professional testing center, such as an adult education center, technical college, or other appropriate official.
Your tests must be administered in the testing center of a university, college, community college, or professional testing center during normal business hours.
All proctors must agree to:
Maintain the security of the test by keeping it in a protected environment.
Verify the identification of the examinee (Photo ID with signature - No exceptions).
Administer the test in a secure, proctored setting.
Testing environment will be comfortable, free from distractions, and visually monitored.

All materials used by the student during testing shall be collected.
Provide no assistance to the examinee in answering the test questions.
When you have identified a test proctor, complete the Test Proctor Form. You will be responsible for any fees the testing center may charge.
